Hi, are you able to bulk record on this product, i.e 7-4 recording off the rest of the time?

Depends on what you mean by "bulk". Yes, you can use the schedule to allow recordings only during that timeframe but it's all based on motion detection, not continuous recording. The latter would wear the batteries out in short order if allowed.

No, the Arlo cameras are battery power so do have a finite record time... they are designed to be a "motion activated" record type system. ( detects motion then records )
But, the Q cameras are ( tho not rated for outdoors ) are AC powered and with the CVR option will record 24/7 with playback at any time wanted in the period.
Or will record with motion detect without the CVR option with no battery limitations.

Oh ok, Do you happen to know how sensitive the cameras are as i have them to moniter my dog through out ht e day as well as the dwelling, and the only seem to work when some one is with in 1.-2m of them, and on top of that the sensitivity is set to 100%. faulty cameras? i could understand one but not both.

That's rather close for detection but not unusual, especially if the cameras aren't postitioned well. You should aim them so that you only monitor the actual area of concern, not a wide scope, and have motion across the FOV, starting at or near and edge. Perhaps posting a screenshot would be useful for suggestions.
