Hi,
I am trying to figure out which motion sensor is being used by the camera ? I opened up the camera, since I would like to expriment wiht the camera and try some different sensors. Wondering if anyone knows which sensor is used by them ?
Thanks

It's a PIR Sensor. Wikipedia says:
“A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors.“
Pretty advanced sensor, because it is not purely motion based, ie. won't react to moving bushes or trees.
What don't you like about it that you want to “improve“ it?

I am trying to get more information on this PIR sensor. I cannot tell who makes it and what its specifications are.

I think you'll find few people here who can answer that.

If you've gone this far and are going to try other sensors, unsolder the chip and see what's printed. I think you're on your own for this.
