What other cameras does the base station support? The Arlo does not see far enough at night for one of my applications so I need to use a different camera but like the Arlo design.

None. If you want longer night vision distance, Google IR spotlights - Amazon has a ton. Make sure they're 850nm lights.

what about the 940 nm bulbs? they will not work with the Arlo outside camera?

Dunno that anyone's tried. If there's sufficient spread in both the capability of the camera sensor and filter as well as from the bulb, maybe. I tend to think it wouldn't be useful.
