Hi Steven,
Would you please advise me on the following?
I am considering buying Arlo Wireless Cameras with Base station, but I don't have physical access to the router to coonect the base with ethernet cable. That's why I am also considering buying a wi-fi extender with ethernet port. Do you think it will work if none of the router and the extender made by netgear? I really appreciate your kind reply.

You should be able to set up your Base station using an extender with an ethernet port. Take a look at this article for detail instructions on setup: How can I increase the range of my Arlo Smart Home Security system?
