Is it possible to record to an external hard drive instead of using the internet? Can the system be run wirelessly with my home network and not the internet? Is it possible to use the Arlo Q cameras outside in a covered porch area to utilize as an intercom system?

Thank you Tom. I assumed the Arlo Q Plus with a PoE would be able to connect to a NVR? If not I don't see the need for the ethernet connector? Is there much lag in the audio transceiving function? If so it would not be feesable to use this device as an intercom.
