Possible to switch mode by email?

I want to integrate Arlo cameras with my security system and before buying I would like to know if there is a way to switch the mode to enable motion detection by email (because it is the only way my security system can communicate with the rest of the world easily).

There's currently no 3rd party integration possible.  All interaction has to be done via the app or web site.  There could be integration in the works but there's no word on that or possible timeframe.

As a new Arlo owner and someone with a home automation system, I would love to see an API to change modes. My home automation system adapts when my security alarm is armed - it would be great if Arlo could adapt, too.
