The quality of the night vision cam in my back yard is not very good compared to the vision on the cam in the fron of the house. Is there a way i can adjust the night vision quality ? It's just a very dark picture on the live view . Thanks

Is it the expanse of area in the back compared to a rather tight space out front?

If so, it's most likely the reach of the light. The infrared LED array built into the Arlo cameras has a reach of 15-20 ft. Anything beyond that will not be illuminated.

Only an external, more powerful light could help. Could be visible or infrared light, depending on your preference. The external light must be motion triggered separately, preferably by the same type of sensor (PIR) as the Arlo camera rather than a regular motion sensor.

You might also be able to do something with IFTTT, i.e. have the Arlo camera motion detection trigger the external light source. Though IFTTT hasn't been made official yet by Netgear, and I don't know if the system will provide that functionality.

As a sort of workaround, you can brighten the image somewhat by using live view and click on the sun icon. Adjust brightness and save. It's not the same as having enough light in the first place but is better than a sharp stick in the eye.
