Setting up my four camera new arlo netgear system .... My cameras do not connect.

The cameras are 1 to 3 feet from the base station, but after 29 blue light camera led flashes when i push their sync buttons, I see rapidly flashing orange lights on all the cameras. The base station has green power and internet LED lights. But no camera light on the base station.

I tried restarting the base station. Also tried removing the camera batteries. No luck connecting the cameras.. I also tried various distances and just having a single camera with batteries connected.. Nothing worked so far.

Am I missing something? The system is new out of the box.. I was hoping it would be easy to use.

Thanks for any hints.

Mike

UPDATE: I retried and this time all cameras connected. Not sure why, but maybe restarting the base station?? or perhaps i didn't push the sync buttons enough.

This question should be closed I think, but I don't see where to do that.

The orange flashing lights were the cameras software updating to latest version. This will often happen on an initial product install.  Netgears installations instructions can certainly be a little clearer.

As an important note to others.... If the leds on the front of the camera are blinking..DO NOT open the battery door.

Doing so can cause the camera to lock up and be non-functional
