my camera stops recording when my pad sleeps

Everytime my pad sleeps or it's not on the arlo camera screen, the camera shuts off...spent 2 1/2 hours w tech and got nowhere

The use of any device to view your system has absolutely no effect on whether the cameras detect/record. Once set, it's all up to the base/cameras and servers. The phone/tablet/computer simply are used as an interface into the system.

WHat mode are you using? Are you using the schedule? What have you done to test? Are you logging out of the app or just backgrounding it (please do the latter)?

It's on armed mode. Right now its working but on standby while I write this...just looked..not active n I have to hit the arrow to make it say live

When you mention that your camera shuts off when your device sleeps, are you saying that you're not receiving any recordings? As jguerdat mentioned, what test have you done so far?
