camera through window

Dear All

I have mounted my camera on the inside of the property through a window. The camera is 5" away from the glass.

The camera does not pick up any motion through the glass to the driveway and only reflections from inside the property people walking past. Can any one please advise?

Motion detection will not work through glass because of reflections and filtering.  The only options for motion detection are 1) mount the camera outdoors or 2) have a different camera mounted outdoors and set up a rule that will start the desired camera's recording when the second camera detects motion.
