camera is not picking up motion until after person has entered and left area

When entering house - camera is facing door (on the inside).  However, the camera is not picking up motion until after person has entered and left area of camera vision.  10 seconds shows up AFTER person has already moved away from door.  ????

What signal strength is seen for the camera? What's your iSP's upload speed? How is the camera mounted to best detect motion (should be across the FOV, not directly at the camera)? Have you read the FAQs here on best positioning?
