I just bought the outdoor two camera package, Iv had it running for 2 days and now one battery bar has dropped, does that mean that in 10 days I won't have any batteries ? its says 4 to 6 months is this false advertising ? The Firmware is 2.49 is there an issue ?

Battery usage is generally defined by the number of minutes of recording and/or live viewing as well as distance or WiFi interference. 4-6 month battery life is for 4 minutes total usage per day. Many folks have poor battery life for the first set or two due to excessive usage.

Ok . So this system only allows for say 24 video clips of 10sec a day, otherwise the batteries don't last.

Which is one reason many of us use rechargeable batteries to minimize the long-term cost.  I'm recording ~10 minutes a day on one camera and get a 2-3 months (depends on a variety of things) out of the various rechargeables I use.
