Early this morning I received an alert to my cell phone that there was activity detected by one of my cameras, but there was no follow up recording.  I waited a bit and checked the library, no recordings.  I tested the camera, and if I walk by it it catches me and records....so what happened earlier to make it do what it did, anyone know?

Oh, I don't know how to tell if it was from Arlo.  All I got was a mobile phone alert that one of my cameras detected activity.  Usually when that happens it's followed by an email with the alert and then there is a recording...this was the alert only, no email followup and no recording, so maybe it was as you said...

Thanks.

I guess they are the original arlo, as I don't know what the pro is...

so I guess that would explain it, then.

Thank you

just so you know...the Arlo takes 4 batteries... the Pro takes a battery pack cube ( gen 2 of Arlo )

I am getting similar problems and have opened a ticket.

Can you check the "record video" option is selected for the problematic camera? When I check mine it has changed to "do nothing". I get a notification on the app, go into recordings and there is nothing there like you. But each time I change my cameras to "record video" they revert back to "do nothing" for no reason. I am new to Arlo.

Mine is on record video, and it stays on record video. I think I got my answer that they did an update and that's what triggered it without the record.  If I have it on and move into camera range, it records and I get alert and video...the other morning it was the alert only, and I think, as others suggested, it was due to the update.

So you are not exeriencing the problem I am of the settings changing to "do nothing" from "record video" for no obvious reason? I might start a new thread if support doesnt solve it, I guess your issue is now resolved?

After changing it to record video, are you scrolling to the bottom and hitting "save"? Because if you don't, it reverts back.

Yup (well my "save" button is top right on Android)

Maybe try signing in on a computer and doing it that way?  Sometimes the phones kinda mess with stuff.  (that there is a technical diagnosis...LOL!)

Thanks Sabrina,

Yeah tried that too, it is certainly intermittent, I will document and troubleshoot and then report my findings in case any others experience the same problem.
