I just bought the 4 camera Arlo camera set from Best Buy, and three cameras work perfectly.
1 camera tells me that FW Version 1.2.2688 Update is available. ( currently running 1.2.4941 ).
I will click to update, and it'll take me to the other screen to where the camera view should be, and it's a green box that says 'A firmware update is available for your device' and an Update button. After repeated attempts, nothing happens.
Ive tried to reset the camera by opening the battery compartment. No help.
I've tried new batteries. No help.
I've tried removing the camera, and re-syncing it. No help.
Ive read lots of pages here, tried most anything. No help.
when it's trying to update the firmware, the LED blinks blue/amber. Then back to nothing.
What at else can I do to make this 4th camera work?

Try leaving it alone.
Several others have reported problems with manually initiating the firmware update. I had the same problem.
Eventually the firmware gets updated by itself. Wait for at least a day or two.
Perhaps open and close the battery compartment of the camera affected. Make sure you have a fresh set of batteries. The system will not update a camera's firmware if the batteries aren't fresh enough in order to prevent the camera from being bricked by running out of power during the update procedure.

Hi All,
Is it just me or does it not seem that the 1.2.4941 would be the newer revision. I had two of four cameras that shipped with 1.2.2688. When i installed them they both showed firmware updates available and I updated them to 1.2.4941 (higher number). All four cameras were then at 4941. A couple of days ago I noticed that the two cameras I had upated were showing updates available back to 2688. I thought it was odd since it is a lower revision number it should be older. Because of this I did not update them. After reading this thread I checked them again and they had updated themselves automatically. Anyone know if there is a problem with the 4941 firmware and Netgear has decided to roll back to 2688?

SVSR54X4,
Current camera firmware is 1.2.4941. Version 1.2.2688 is the previous firmware version.

Freestlz,
Are the batteries in the affected camera fully charged? Low batteries can keep firmware updates from completing. If you are still having this issue, consider installing a fresh set and try again.
