Wire-free Arlo cameras keep rejecting update

I have seven Arlo Wire-free cameras that I’ve tried to update multiple times for three days in a row.  Sometimes they will update to 1.2.21616, then a few hours later, the ‘update available’ message appears over the camera again and they’re back to 1.2.16720.  Sometimes, they are at 1.2.21616, trying to ‘update’ to 1.2.16720 which seems like a downgrade.  Right now, all seven show ‘camera rejected update’.  They are currently at 1.2.16720 trying to update to 1.2.21616.  This is really annoying!  If the cameras aren’t going to update, ok.  They were working fine with the old version.  The app should not keep the ‘update available’ message over the camera, making the camera unusable. These Arlo cameras were great for the first year or so, but this is unacceptable.   Can anyone help?  And yes, I’ve tried all the usual things: fresh batteries, power cycled the base station and modem; internet is download 89.5 mbps and upload  6.13 mbps.
