After a power outage today, I lost WIFI with my Netgear Nighthawk router.  Computer internet connection is fine over ethernet.  I turned power off / on on the router, but this did not fix the problem.  I would greatly appreciate any tips on what to do next to re-gain WIFI.  Thank you.

Are we talking about Arlo or the router itself?  Arlo doesn't need WiFi.  A solution for any such network issues is to not allow power to drop by using a UPS (uninterruptible power supply, also known as battery backup).  You don't need to spend a ton but consider something with at least 750VA capability, depending on how many devices are plugged in to it and how long you want to be able to keep going before the batteries deplete.

Turn all off  and try and bring your system back online in sequence....

first modem

then router/wifi

then arlo base

Give time for all to come online completely between each
