How to install batteries?(compartment will not lift up)

Hello, I am trying to install batteries in my camera - I slid the bottom back as described but the latch will not lift up. I don't want to break it.

I tried sliding back further and it wouldn't move, I don't want to break it.

What should I do?

Nevermind, it requires a little push to break the seal.

As you found out the first few times it can be hard, sometimes the seal sticks from sitting closed
