Hello,

I purchased a VMS3230 Smart Home Security System and 3 VMS3330 cameras in 2016 and now one of them is no longer working.

Initially the problem with the "bad" cemera was, the batteries drained rapidly though it has been good for one year. When I realised this problem, I replaced all the four batteries but they could only be used for 2 days. I gave another attempt but got the same result. I didn't have another attempt until today given that the battery cost is high.

I read some articles on Arlo community and someone suggested upgrading the firmware may resolve the issue.

That is why I was trying to have another go.

However, now I am having a different issue. The "bad" cemera has been disconnected from the base station for more than half a year. When I replaced the four batteries I can see the cemera led blinks blue rapidly but on my Arlo app it is always "offline". Then I deleted that device and tried to connect it to base again with no success. I followed the instructions from these two links:

https://kb.arlo.com/1133448/My-Arlo-Wire-Free-or-Arlo-Pro-Wire-Free-camera-is-offline-how-can-I-trou...

https://kb.arlo.com/987/How-do-I-set-up-and-sync-my-Arlo-Wire-Free-cameras

The steps I did:

1) Insert the battery correctly and bring the camera within 30 cms of the base station.

2) Hold the sync button on Base Station for 2 seconds and can see the third LED blinking

3) Hold the sync button on the "bad" camera for 2 seconds and can see the LED blinking blue

4) The sync was not successful as I still cannot see the camera in my app.

Also tried manually add devices in the app but still not unable to sync.

So is that camera dead? Do you have suggestions? If I wish to get it repaired, how can I do that?

Thanks,

Leslie

Do not hold the sync button for two seconds....

Quick press on base and then quick press on camera

Thanks for advise!

I did as you suggested. the LED on both Base and Camera blinking. Waited for nearly 2 minutes, the LED on Base turned to solid green while the LED on camera still blinking blue. Waited for another 5 minutes still the same so finally I had to take the batteries out from the camera to stop blinking.
