VMB3000 device found but cannot 'Name'

I can find my base station,  but the next step,  "name your arlo base station",  produces error, "we are unanle to claim this device". What do I do?

Where did you purchase this system? You usually get this message when purchasing a refurbished unit where the previous owner did not remove the devices from his account before returning it, thus it is still registered to his account. You will probably need to return it or contact customer service, provide them with a bill of sale and have them remove the system from the old account.
