Ultra Power Saving Stops Notifications

Arlo camera system works fine with no issues.

 

I put my Android S7 Edge into Ultra Power Saving mode.

 

When I take it out of Ultra Power Saving mode, arlo no longer provides notifications.  No settings have been changed.  The videos still exist and system functions.  

 

 

The only fix for this is to delete the app and re download and re signing into the app.   IF i sign out and back in it makes no difference.

 

Any ideas?

What happens if you restart the phone? Not a solution but worthwhile knowing. Open a case at https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx and contact Samsung.

Restarting doesn't change anything as well. I will contact arlo support. It appears to be a bug

Just try a Forced Stop of the app and delete the cache ( not data )

That actually does work.... Seems like a bit much to have to do that every time the phone is put into power saving though. I did open a case with support and will report back.

Good to hear...does sound like an app vs OS bug

 

 

PS...  I was thinking of upgrading my android to an S7...maybe I'll wait  🙂

I can say that my wifes KB slider phone, the battery runs a whole week .....  🙂

How many phones do that now days?

 

Yes, I'm going to MAYBE break down and upgrade my anodroid LG

So after going around and around with support......

 

They suggested I post something on the forums so that their engineers can work on the app and fix the bug...... SO ENGINEERS   here you go....
