Simply recording without an internet connection --- Is it possible

Wondering if you can record and save video without an internet connection? I have no need to monitor/view the camera feeds in real-time. 

If not, does anyone know of a wireless, battery operated system where this is possible (i.e., no internet connection needed to simply record/save video)?

There's currently no way to use Arlo without an Internet connection.
