Just purchased a house that has 3 Arlo cameras mounted outside. Not sure of model. I scanned the QR code and it brings up a string of alpha-numeric characters but not sure if model can be determined from the string.  The previous owner of house passed away, so ability to retrieve any passwords or gather other information is lost. Is there a way to gain access to the cameras to reassign to my account to reactivate cameras or do I have to purchase new cameras?  Thanks

The base units are locked to a user, the cameras are not... ( without the prev owners info the base will be unusable )

Depending on the camera model AND that you have a working base ( unknown as to model, some sync to wifi directly ) you should be able to use the cameras as is.

Describe what batteries the camera takes and or look inside for model number info and we can prob fiq out the model you have

If you have take one of the cameras down, first see if the housing opens.  There is a button that releases it.

If it does, open the housing and remove the battery.  You'll find a label inside.

If it doesn't, then it is an Essential camera.  At the bottom there is a flap that opens for charging.  If you open it, and look closely, you'll find a model number that starts with VMC.

Where are you seeing these codes?
