REMOTE CONNECTION REQUIREMENT - just realized when power fails (frequently in CA), my cams don't automatically reboot/reconnect even with powerful, automatic back-up generator that kicks in literally 2 seconds. Someone has to be at home reconnecting/rebooting the Base station. I set up Arlo cams around the house so when I am not home on business, it's a security system to view. Now I can't see the cams and I'm remote which kills the whole idea of Security. Anyone figured out a work around to reboot/reconnect remotely so Arlo cams can do its job b/c Calif will continue with black outs.

You can install a ups to backup power to the base station and router modem equipment.

A cheaper approach is to install a smart switch to allow you to remotely power cycle the base station when required. Always good idea to have this anyway as the base can play up by itself.
