Like a previous poster I have a red usb icon showing underneath the base station. The base station is on line and all cameras can be turned on or off via the app, indicating that the cameras are communicating with the base station. None of the cameras however react to motion, no red LED lighting up. However when I go to utilities and do a motion detector test/noise test on the cameras they do register (LED's lighting up).
I have disconnected and reconnected the cable between router and base station/ I have restarted the base station with and without the cable to to router, turned the base station off and on, with or without the cable. Turned the router on and off. Makes no difference. I do not think that it is a router problem as it is working fine. plus I can communicate with the cameras, The only thing none of them does is react to motion or sound.

I hope anyone can help

Do you have a USB drive connected to the base?
