Receiving "We are unable to claim this device" error and cannot proceed further

I am trying to install this device which I purchased second hand from a friend. I have received the the message “We are unable to claim this device” and can not proceed further with the installation. Are there any troubleshooting processes to complete the installation. Thankyou.

Your friend would need to delete the base from their account.

You could try and do a factory reset
