Hello,

I have bought a Arlo Wifi VMS3330 with firmware 1.2.4941 and hardeware H7

The reason for my purchase is that I want an active signal when somebody is entering my car (breakin) when parked in front of my house.

The Arlo seams ideal but I want to know what is happening when I'm driving of and the camera can't find my basestation.

Is the camera using much baterry power searching and can I turn this of in a setting.

Or do I have to remove the batteries each time I leave?

Otherwise it's ideal for my wishes.

Hope somebody can give me sound advice.

The camera will indeed have higher battery consumption when the base station is out of range. I don't know exactly by how much, but I believe it is quite significant.

Also, it is not guaranteed that, once you are within range of your base station again, the camera will reconnect to your base station.

So, taking out the batteries while your car is away seems inevitable.

But, since you already bought the camera, do report on your findings.
