My original wire free camera is offline for the second time in about 2 months. The camera added less than a year ago works fine. So no problem with base. We are elderly and can not continue to climb an 8’ ladder to check the battery each time this occurs. Does this mean that the battery is failing and we need to replace the camera? Does anyone have any solution that does not involve checking/removing the camera?
Is anyone else having issues with their older cameras? Ho! Hum!
My base is actually VMB4000. But this model is not in the drop down menu.

There can be a number of reasons the camera goes offline... mostly bad signal or interference.

But if it does , the battery will deplete itself.

Only way to know if it is the camera or location is to swap the two cameras...and see if the issue follows the camera.

Either way the good camera will be up in the ladder zone and if it works, you won't have to climb

This is exactly what we have decided to do. We just need to gather the courage to climb that ladder. Thanks.

Wonder why I no longer get emails when someone replies. I was getting them prior to iOS 13 and email notifications is still checked. Hmmmm!
