New app updated stopped my notifications

Grrrrr app updated now no notifications

Which APP ?  IOS or Android????

If you mean Android, go to the SETTINGS in the App ..( 3 vertical dots , upper right ) and under notifications turn on the alerts or pick if you want other sounds, etc

Samsung s8 latest Android like I said was working till 1st

I assume you're referring to push notifications. It might be useful to check your modes and rules to verify that push notifications are enabled. Might also be worth enabling email notifications, too, for the time being. While you're at it, power cycle the base and restart your phone. Be sure you actually have the latest app since there was a bad one, 2.4.3, that was rolled out and then retracted. 2.4.4 is the current version.

I had same issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling worked for me. Push notifications are working again. Samsung gs7
