So with the new Arlo app we lose the ability to see the recordings?? We have to now remove the SD memory card from the base unit and put it in a computer to see the recordings?? Unless there's a way to fix this or revert back to the old app, I'm done with Arlo. It's just one issue after another. Common features need to be a paid add-on, etc..nah, not buying into that nonsense. I need to be able to pull up the app while I'm away to see the recordings!! smh

I assume you're using local recordings. Those are available in the latest apps in Feed by choosing Local at the top of by going to the hub's settings and clicking on Storage Settings.

That is already selected and they do not show up in the feed. The "tech support" guy I talked to the other day said that viewing local recordings is no longer supported in the new app.

*update* - I read or reply incorrectly. So now to view the recordings you have to go into the hub's "storage settings" to view them. Got it! Seems obscure though.

Arlo is rolling out "Local" and "Cloud" controls on the feed page.  They appeared briefly, but then disappeared - not sure why, but am guessing there was a bug.

Guessing that's an iOS bug since Android still has the ability to choose Local from Feed.

Yet to check out iOS version, but from Android app here, the Feed > Local I am able to see here is close to rubbish

  • "local" is absent on first click of "feed"
  • "local" is present on clicking away from "feed", and clicking "feed" for the 2nd time --- yet it is showing blank and so is another rubbish
  • drag down to refresh this blank "local" and you are able to see local recordings finally.  BUT then! ---
    • recordings close to 12:00am local time are incorrectly missed out
    • date headers are redundantly repeated, resulting in unnecessary, separate groups, for recordings of the same date

I think if the app was very good and everything else great,  people would pay extra for a subscription. But if it's one thing after another about this and that software and firmware wise, as @Wegentryjr1 is correctly observing, I'm very reluctant to part with my money for a mediocre product. Good value for money is what someone high in the Arlo hierarchy is constantly failing to deliver. I've observed a new trend for Arlo products at different retailers: regular sales of up to 50% because noone wants to buy this crap at full price anymore.
