Our Arlo system was purchased in July but not installed until the very end of September.  We left for Arizona on October 1st and enjoyed being able to keep an eye on the homestead until Halloween when all cameras reported that the base unit was offline.  With help from a neighbor (as we are in Arizona) we tried everything short of replacing the batteries.  With no luck we tried replacing the batteries in one of the cameras, then re-syncing.  It worked and we have replaced the batteries in the three other cameras.  Why have the batteries provided with our new system failed in barely over 30 days?  This system is installed in the Pacific Northwest with only one of the cameras physically outside and outside temperatures have not yet dipped down to freezing.  Firmware 1.12.0.0_27099, Hardware VMB3010r2

Sometimes when the internet goes down for a period of time, the cameras keep trying to connect until the batteries deplete themselves. Don't know if a faled firmware update caused this or not or if the internet was out for an extended period of time.

It also depends on how many minutes of recording and live viewing per day you've been doing. The spec life of 4-6 months is based on <5 minutes per day.
