Strange. I have 9 wireless cams and 5 of them are still on batteries that came with product last August!!!

The life expectancy of batteries in your Arlo camera will vary depending on usage. The baseline for this is 4 min of usage per day to obtain a 4-6 month life span as stated here. More usage will result in more battery drain.

 

Motion detection is dependent on location of cameras and which modes you have set at any given time. If you have a schedule set, check to make sure you have the correct modes set for the times you wish motion detection to be enabled.

 

What issues are you experiencing with the app? What app are you using? I understand some of the changes made can cause some confusion, please let us know what you're having trouble with and we would be happy to assist.
