Checked out Local Recordings (which I don't access much) this morning and found that while the recordings were in the correct order, by the actual times shown when playing the video, the times & thumbnails shown on the local list were sometimes wrong.

The first two screenshots show an example of both the times & thumbnails being off. The third screenshot shows that after I refreshed the list by switching to cloud and then back to local, the times were now correct but some of the thumbnails were still wrong.

Tried refreshing the list a second time, by switching to cloud and back to local, and it went back to some of the times & thumbnails being wrong.

This behavior should now be resolved. Can you please check to see if you are still seeing the same behavior?

Hi Brooke,
Any chance of maybe forwarding this to the appropriate person (s) so that they can take a look at it?

After my last experience with the Support Center, I'm reluctant to go through that headache again.

Thanks,
Paul

I guess I shouldn't have brought this up...now I have NO local videos for any date 🤔

Can you remind me if you are on iOS or Android and can you provide the software version please.

Also, is the same thing happening in settings?

Hi Brooke,
Android 11 / Build RPMS31.Q1-54-13.3-10

Only happens in "Feed"...In "Settings" the videos are there and viewable.

Now this is strange...when I went to feed just now there was nothing there (like last night) but the message "There are no events for this day". So, I went to "Settings" to check that for you and it was OK, and I clicked on a video to make sure it would play...interestingly enough when I went back to "Feed", to get the exact verbiage of the message, It now shows ALL of the local videos BUT...when I went to "Devices" and then came back to feed, the local videos were gone again.
I can go to "Dashboard", "Settings", "Devices" etc. and back to "Feed" and sometimes the local videos are showing and sometimes it's just a white screen (with the message)...there's no set pattern and no matter how long you stay on that screen the videos won't appear. Even toggling back and forth from "Cloud" to "Local" won't make the videos appear.
If there's any good news in this, it's that the times and thumbnails are now correct, unlike in the screenshots on my first post.

Not sure if this might be related or not...my other topic about "Vehicle Recognition no Longer Working" which I said was now working...it is now NOT working on the web portal but is working on the app. On the web portal it only ID's with the generic tags (vehicle, person) and interesting enough all of the previously "recognized" videos, from the past couple of days, now have the "recognized" tags changed to generic tags and no matter how far I go back, prior to the issue of that post, there are now NO videos which had been "recognized"...they now all have the generic tags. The reason I mention this, even though it's from another topic is that there's an error message at the top of the "Feed" screen (web portal)(pic below) which may or may not provide a clue as to this "locals" issue on the app 🤔
I'll add it to the other post too.

yes, this has been a known issue (brought up by myself) for some 2-3 months.

  • redundant dates that are not grouped together (and this is wrong)
  • recordings grouped under wrong date (especially for those around the midnight.  I am suspecting this has something to do with wrong use of time in different timezone)
  • recordings time sometimes wrong

I have simply NOT been using this buggy "local" tabsheet, and just stick to the old way of DEVICES >> (hub) >> Storage Settings.  It's all fine there.

I can confirm that the above issues have been resolved by 5.6.1. Thanks for following this up.

ps: this is minor issue that I haven't reported here, but the "local" tab is always absent on the first click of FEED.  It appears only on second click (after clicking elsewhere, say DASHBOARD)

Can you create a new post for that by chance @alex_loo ? As this post is resolved and I will be closing it.

Another update - another poor show. I can't wait to get rid of this system, to be honest.

'Local' tab shows no events. Access via SmartHub is fine. Android version: 28829.
