I don't know why your timing out so quickly...
I know the live stream record shuts down at 30 mins to preserve batteries( having run it many time to that lenght )
An option may be to start record as it uses no more power then just live streaming.

What exactly is the camera doing? Details help a lot. Any of the wireless cameras will time out after 30 minutes by design to save the battery. If you need extended live viewing, you need a powered camera. Arlo has one, the Q, that would fit the bill. To use what you already have you'll need to keep enabling live view after the timeout as well as needing to change batteries on an accelerated schedule.

Sorry, you're not making sense. We need details to understand what's happening.
You say the app won't help because you're using the desktop version (implying using a browser). The app is a useful troubleshooting tool since it provides a different access method to the same data. For the browser version, did you use the URL that JamesC provided? Have you tried a different browser? Have you tried flushing the cache on the problem browser? Are all updates, especially to the browser and Flash, installed on your computer? What OS and browser are you using?

Adrien,
Arlo is not intended to be live streamed continuously. The 30 minute timeout referenced above is by design.
There is a CVR feature that provides continuous recording that may suit your needs. For more information the CVR feature for Arlo Q/Q Plus, see here: How does the continuous video recording or CVR feature work?

My entire system goes down if I do not log in for an extended time, ie 8 or so hours. Are their settings for this?

I have a camera set up for our front reception area, when our receptionist is out. I monitor the camera (live feed) from my office. However, the live feed times out after various times (1 minute up to around 5 minutes), requiring me to start the feed again for that camera. Is there a way to keep the live streaming from "timing out"?

live feed should be good for 30 min before it times out, batteries permitting. But on live feed of 30 min spurts batteries will be exhausted in about 8 hours,

No because this should't be happening. What do the LEDs on the base show when it's "down"? Have you tried both the app and a browser to see if one works while the other doesn't?

I am having the problem with the live view timing out on web browser also-- it happens more frequently than every 1/2 hour-- and I want to keep it on all the time. Someone on this thread indicated this is a built in feature to conserve the battery. If I connect the wireless pro camera to power will it keep the feed live? (I found this power cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072123M8P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )
Thanks for any advice you can give.
Cheers,
Amy

The wireless cameras will time out at about 30 minutes of live view whether plugged in or not.

That really does make it less useful. I want to monitor my front door when I am in my studio so I can talk to anyone who comes to the door-- especially if they are dropping off a package and need a signature. Does anyone have a workaround-- like an Applescript or something-- that will automatically refresh the view instead of it timing out?

Battery-operated cameras were never meant to constantly stream - it would drain the batteries quickly. Plugging them into power could be used to overcome that but it's not possible now for whatever reason. I have no idea if it's a technical issue or not.
