Hey there,

I currently live in Ireland, it rains most of the time and went through a couple of severe storms, no issues whatsoever, got 2 cameras wall mounted outside and they've been working perfectly fine.

I read somehwere they have an IPX5 rating, which provides enough protection for the below as per the wiki page here:

Water jetsWater projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.Test duration: 1 minute per square meter for at least 3 minutes

Water volume: 12.5 litres per minute
Pressure: 30 kPa at distance of 3 m

I've had them for nearly two years in rainy Oregon and have had no problems.  I have five cameras outdoors without any protection.  Make sure you bring the cameras indoors to dry out when you change the batteries, just like any waterproof camera.
