Issues with IR, batteries deplete quicker than expected

So long story short I wanted a camera system and with all the efficiency of wireless and money concerns I’d give it a shot. Even with all the bad reviews and support how bad could it be. It’s been more than a month now and one of my cameras the IR stopped working. Another camera it just doesn’t pick up motion or recording. The rules are all the same when it detects motion it needs to record. I’ve reset and pretended to setup like it was brand new and it’s still the same. The IR happened to work for a couple hours and then pitch black now. I don’t have a problem with range and my download speed is 85 and upload is 12. Range isn’t an issue. It’s almost like these things are designed to fail. And what’s with the batteries saying it should last 4-6 months.? I’ve had to change my batteries twice in the last month.

Test your IR LEDs by triggering motion in a dark environment, do you see a faint red glow on the front of the camera? This will indicate whether or not the IR LEDs are working.

 

If you're having trouble with motion detection, first check to make sure your camera is Armed, if using a custom mode, check the rules to make sure a rule exists for that camera.

 

Battery life will vary depending on camera usage. Some environmental conditions, such as poor signal strength, can cause increased battery drain. What does the signal strength indicator show for the camera experiencing an issue?
