Installing base

I was gifted an Arlo wireless camera package.  The Base Station is VMB3000.  I follow the on screen direction from my phone to connect the Base.  The power LED and internet LED are both solid.  The instruction say the base is detected and I push the button to connect.  It then says it is unable to find any firmware updates at this time.  I click "Finish" and it goes back to the home screen that says "Add New Device."  I go on my computer and do the same thing from my desktop and it says "We are unable to claim this device."  I have done the factory reset several times.  Unplugged the ethernet and power cables several times and still the same thing.

You might follow up with the gifter, and make sure they removed it from their account.

 

Did you try resetting the base (using a paper clip)?
