Hi.

I'm trying to create an applet on IFTTT to turn on a Philips Hue light(s) when my Arlo cam(s) detect motion.

If someone could possibly explain to me, the difference in the options available between Toggle lights on/off and turn lights on?

Ideally, I would like my Philips Hue light(s) to turn on (when Arlo detects motion) for a short period of time (for example 2/3 mins) and then turn off. I'm aware that you can also have the option to blink lights, but was wondering if this was possible?

Any guidance/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks. Smiley Happy

Turning on the lights turns on the lights

Toggling the lights turns the lights on if they're off and turns them off if they're already on

You might find Stringify much easier to use than IFTTT and it does everything IFTTT does and more.
I'm now using Smartthings to do what you want to do. The cameras detecting motion turn on hue lights but only for a few minutes and only during certain times of the day (during the night)

I tried Stringify and IFTTT, both the lights and my Arlo HD cameras cannot be detected by the apps.

Arlo app runs fine, also the Philips HUE app,

any one an idea ?

does these apps work outside the US ? I am in The Caribbean...

kind regards Leon
