I have the Arlo system with 2 cameras and had been using IFTTT recipes successfully up until approx 2 weeks ago. They now only work as a trigger to disarm/arm the arlo base station,
They wont work if the trigger is for example:
'arlo motion'- IFTTT trigger - record video on my homeboy device OR turn on WEMO plug OR send text applets, none work anymore.
IFTTT receipes work the other way round though, for example
'homeboy disarmed/armed' - IFTTT trigger - Disarm /arm arlo base station
'Sunset' - IFTTT trigger - arm arlo
The above tells me that the Arlo service is talking to IFTTT but for some unknown reason the applets that are 'triggered' by an arlo event just stopped working after approx 18 months of working fine.
I have disconnected the Arlo service and reconnected on IFTTT, deleted all Arlo receipes/applets and started again. Reset the base station and still no joy. Event log in IFTTT lists failed events stating 'problem with the arlo service'
Is any one using IFTTT successfully to trigger something else on an Arlo event, eg arlo motion triggers something else to happen on another device?
I have a support case open with Arlo but would like to know if its just me or others are having this issue too.

Please fix this annoying issue.
Obviously IFTTT cannot retrieve the list of devices .... please fix.
Also, like suggested before, allow selecting the camera's individually to allow certain groups of camera's to be addressed.

DITTO!!!!! It is in Netgear's best interest the IFTTT feature available with all applets working. I posted a question about the issue on another thread before seeing this one.

This is insane!
I'm having the same problem even if I have old recepies that are working.
I was now trying to open a support ticket, but the support website isn't working!
Negtear makes good hwardware, but software side I think they are very bad.
I really don't know what to do, without IFTTT this expensive toy is almost unuseful.
bye

Thank you,
using stringify I was able to solve.
Nice to know a new tool, much better than IFTTT unfortunately with much less support, but with IFTTT integration becomes very powerful.

You can chain IFTTT and Stringify. That works for me.
IFTTT: If You say "Turn on Arlo", then run a Stringify Flow.
Stringify: WHEN IFTTT Applet runs this Flow,
THEN start my Timer (wait 10 minutes),
THEN Arm this camera's base station (any camera).

New Incident Status: Resolved |
Arlo has released the code fix today and the service looks healthy from our monitoring. Users should be able to create Applets again without problems. Thanks for your patience while this issue was in progress! |

All my cameras are working with the record option in IFTTT except for my 1080p camera. Can you look into this please?

I'm still not seeing the camera under devices in IFTTT. Is there something I need to do to update my Arlo system so IFTTT will recognize it. I just disconnected and reconnected Arlo in IFTTT. Thank.

I use Alexa with IFTTT to trigger my Arlo Pro system on or off as well as to be able to start recording on any selected Arlo Pro camera. The other IFTTT programing I have is with Arlo and SMS to get a text message when a Arlo camera battery is low. Since you did not indicated exactly what you have attemped so far I suggest trying one of the IFTTT programs I currently use then go from there to other programs.
