I performed a search before posting and see this topic has been brought up a couple times in the past with no real solution. So I'm guessing it's a hardware or firmware problem.

I get multiple camera triggers daily (night and day). When I view the video, the video always starts with a white flash in the first half second. The rest of the video shows nothing that would cause a trigger.

It's not plants moving. There's no plants within the camera's view. It's not a bird. I was looking at the camera once when it triggered and there was no bird or bugs.

Turning down the sensitivity isn't an option, because the camera already has a problem detecting actual motion.

The camera is mounted under the eave of the house outside. I notice the problem mostly occurs with eave mounted cameras in the 2 other threads about this issue. However, I have experienced the same problem with some of my indoor cameras, although rarely.

The reason I posted this again is to see if a remedy has been found since those 2 other threads. The false notifications are driving me nuts. I basically ignore my Arlo alerts now as a result. It's like crying wolf too many times. And that isn't a good thing. When a real event that requires my attention occurs, I'll probably ignore it thinking it's another false trigger.

The flash at the beginning i very likely the autoexposure finalizing the exposure. I may get that or a dark image tha brightens quickly - it depends. Some of mine are under eaves and don't necessarily exhibity this. You can try moving them down a bit to see if it makes a difference.

The false notifications can be caused by lots of things from bugs to birds to cars reflecting the sun's IR. What sensitivity level are your modes set to? Use the Mode tab, select you base and edit your modes, likely the Armed mode. The default sensitivity setting is 80 - try different settings in small amounts until there's a reasonable level to detect while minimizing false detections. Be sure to save any changes.

Constant, there is NO FIX, I have tried every setting, it constantly alarms me in the middle of the night, scaring me that someone has broken in. THESE ARE THE WORSE CAMERA'S EVERY. I own 13 camera's, 3 base stations.

I wish I read these blogs first as I would have NEVER PURCHAED them.

I put a camera in a BLACK BOX on a SHELF in my closet, it still managed to alarm, triggering my text notice that motion had been detected. TERRIBLE and ARLO products are not cheap, just cheaply made.

SHAME ON ARLO & NETGEAR.

You do remember that you have a warranty, righ? I don't get why folks won't use it to replace faulty hardware. Would you do that with your new car?

It's not a warranty problem. People have been experiencing the problem for years. Check the past threads. All cameras have the problem. I can rotate any of my cameras to that location and the same thing happens.

Plus, I bought the system during a great sale and never installed them until my internet speeds were uprgraded to handle the load. That was about a year later.
