Hoping I can get some help configuring my arlo system.
I would like one high resolution camera-probably the ultra, two mid range cameras-perhaps the pro versions, and a doorbell camera. The ultra camera will be connected via arlo's solar panel, and I need the other two cameras to be powered via wall outlet, so i don't need to deal with too many batteries. I know the doorbell is battery operated, that's fine. I also would like to not have to have a subscription cost, so I'd like to either buy a hub to connect to a local drive, or perhaps just go with the arlo 3 -I believe the arlo pro 3's hub will allow you to connect local storage? Would all these devices be able to connect to the hub and record their video to a local hard drive? also how much video hours can be stored on a 1 TB drive? Are there other features that I won't be able to access if I don't subscribe?

I don't believe Pro or Pro 2 cameras are being manufactured any more, so these would either be Pro 3/Pro 4 cameras (or perhaps Essential Spotlights).

Both the VMB4540 (usually shipped with Pro 3/Pro 4 kits) and the VMB5000 (usually shipped with Ultras) smart hubs support direct access to local storage. Compatibility data is here: https://kb.arlo.com/000062284/Arlo-SmartHub-and-Base-Station-Compatibility
The VMB5000 saves video on microSD, the VMB4540 saves video to USB devices.
Local storage does have some limitations
- videos can only be directly accessed from the app (not the browser)
- videos can only be accessed from the primary account (not friend accounts)
- No manual recordings or snapshots
- No thumbnails in the library or notifications
- Remote access requires router settings changes (port forwarding or a VPN).
You'd also lose activity zones on the battery powered cameras, and smart notifications (filter notifications as people/animal/vehicle/motion).
More info on what you'd lose when the trial subscription ends is here: https://kb.arlo.com/000062312/What-options-will-I-have-when-the-Arlo-trial-ends
