With the original Arlo app it was super simple - Mode: Schedule to set the Cameras to On at 7pm to 11:59p, 12a - 7am the off and done. With this new app nothing seems to work correctly and I'm not understanding the Arm Away, Arm Home and Standby. I've got the Automations set for the schedules (Schedule 1, 2, 3, 4 to account for the 7p - 11:59, 12a - 7a) but I'm not understanding the tree under Edit Schedule -
Schedule 1 (same with 2, 3, 4 accounting for the different start and stop times)
Arm Away, Standby
Schedule
7p Everyday --> Arm Away
What am I doing wrong here. I simply want the cameras to come on at 7p, off at 7am and not be on during the day when we are at home and I keep playing with the settings and they still record movement at all times during the day and night. HELP! It was so easy and simple before...

There is no need to do something special for midnight, because there is no mode change happening at that time.
I suggest deleting all of your schedule automations and starting over.
You need two schedule automations
- one to switch the mode to Arm Home at 7 pm every day
- one to switch the mode to Standby at 7 am every day
These two automations should be enabled in both Arm Home mode and Arm Away mode, but not Arm Away.
Then if you go on a trip, you can manually put the cameras in Arm Away, and the cameras will stay armed until you return (and manually set the mode back to Arm Home or Standby).
You can use these as models (though they switch at sunrise and sunset)

So instead of setting up a a start time and end time we now have to set up 2 separate schedules, how is that easier. I own 2 properties and can not set up cameras at the property I am not at without all of my cameras being on at both properties. The old app worked fine and was easy to use this new app is terrible. All my cameras remain off because I can’t figure out to control them separately.
Restore the old app.

Before you set up a start time and and end time, now you set up a start time and the next start time. It's really not two separate schedules.

The idea in the new interface is that you set up one location (e.g. address) for each property in the account. The problem with that idea is that you had a subscription covering all your cameras, you now need to get one subscription for each location.
If you don't do that, then you are limited to setting up three combinations of cameras by modifying the three modes. So you could set up
- Arm Away to arm all the cameras at both properties
- Arm Home to only arm the cameras at one property
- Standby to only arm the cameras at the other property
Then you could manually set the mode you want (depending on where you are).
Not ideal, but not quite as bad as needing to arm all the cameras 24x7

I never said it was easier. I was just helping @tyrahat. FWIW, IMO it would have been better if you started your own thread, and not hijacked this one.
Automations are IMO too complicated. And the lack of custom modes in the new interface is a real problem for a lot of folks. Arlo has said they are adding them back (or creating equivalent controls) - hopefully they will provide a better set of tools in the app soon.
