How do I solve the green screen and lined distorted video recordings on Arlo outdoor camera? I looked through all the community posts and didn’t see any solution, even though it said solved. I can’t call Arlo to ask because I can’t find a phone number. This is so frustrating! We have a subscription and have used Arlo for many years. Support is unhelpful. Anyone know how to solve this???

It's a good thing you didn't, as googling one would have led you to a scam support site.

 

Phone support requires a subscription, and you get it through the support area of the app.

There are two reasons this can happen.

  1. The camera hardware might be failing
  2. The might be loss on the network connection (either camera->base or base->cloud).

On (2) - the fact that the camera worked in this location in the past, doesn't mean that there is good signal quality now.  A lot of things can affect wifi performance.

 

If you have other cameras that are working ok, then swap one of them with the failing camera, and see if the problem moves with the camera or stays with the location.

 

If you only have the one camera, try moving it closer to the base station as a test, and see if the problem resolves.  Ideally put it in the same room as the base (while still keeping it at least 6 feet away from it).
