Google Home notifications?

Hi y'all

Before I make my investment in Arlo cameras,

I know the Google Home app does send notifications for their Nest cameras, but does it do the same for Arlo cameras?

The Arlo app sends notifications for the Arlo cameras.  They can be synced with Google Home.

I don't have this set up myself.  I'm tagging @alex_loo as I think he's done some recent experiments with Google Home - so he should be able to give you information on any limitations/issues.

I have used a combination of Google Home Automation and IFTTT to fix up the following issues from ARLO:

• "all leave" not always triggers
• "anyone arrive" not always triggers

So far, it's now peace of mind of mind to me.

@hirwani1 , what exactly do you want to achieve?

I do not have Nest cameras, so don't have "voice notification" option with Google Home app, and don't have experience to share in this respect.

Regarding notifications, the ARLO app itself is sending out notifications at the device the app is installed.  Say for my case, my own android phone, and my wife's iPhone --- with whatever unique notification sound we can change to from the phone settings.  We are already happy with such.
