Get text alert for motion, but then log on to "Camera Offline" and there is no recording

This is happening on 2 of my 5 cameras. Every time motion is detected, I get a text alert as expected. However, when I launch the Arlo app to check the recording, there is none and the "Camera is offline" notice is displayed. A few moments later, I can view live feeds again, but there is no recording of the event that triggered the motion alert.
It seems that when these cameras sense motion, it crashes the whole system so I only get a text alert, but there is no recording.
Advice?

Probably need to just bite the bullet and reset the system to start fresh. Use the reset button on the base until the LEDs flash amber. Open and clkse all battery doors to reset the cameras. Remove all devices in Settings, My Devices. Use the Add Device button on the Devices tab to add the base and sync the cameras.
