Syncing Problem

I am setting up two cameras for the first time, following all instructions in the set up booklet. Neither of the cameras will sync. I cannot even get the blinking green light on the base station.

 

There is an ATT modem and wifi booster in the same room but not all that close to the base station. I am limited in terms of location relative to having ethernet available.

The extender has nothing to do with anything in this case. I suspect you're holding the sync button on the base to long - just a brief (<2 seconds) will do it.
