So geo fencing had been working for well over a year and now it’s not, anyone else ??
I knew it was only a matter of time until Arlo broke something again, useless

We have identified the issue where Geofencing (Arrive/Leave) automations may stop triggering automatically. A fix has been developed, tested, and confirmed working. It is currently awaiting Apple review and will be available soon. I will continue to provide updates here. Thank you for your patience

Hi,
I spent over 2 HRS On teh phone with Tech support 2 different agents and the only thing they had me do was change the Geofence radius from Med to Small.
Currently the Arrive leave option is not working, i have to manually turn my cameras off and on. I like them to shut off when I get home so the batteries don't drain so fast. this feature has worked fine for over 4 years but stopped sometime in the last few days. I have rebooted the base many times and I have also confirmed phone and app setting.
I can't get into teh Automation part on teh web page as it just spins but I can on the phone app.
Any help would be great.

Are you using an iPhone? Several folks have posted issues with iOS 26.5 and the current app.

Those are the two ways. Not sure why calling support is not an option for you.

I am having the same issue, I should have Googled IOS 26.5 Issues before calling tech support as I wasted over 2 HRS for them to tell me to change Geofence Radius.

Spent an hour with customer service trying to fix the geofence issue but still the same…
made me erase and install all the modes and automatic settings but still not able to switch modes automatically. Really bad!!

Am having same problem—everything was working fine until last week. Suddenly, Geofencing does not work. Am a subscriber w 10 cameras. Arlo Secure app geofencing map shows when I leave and depart but does NOT actually activate the Geofencing automations. All permission settings are correct. No duplicate iOS Devices. Have uninstalled and reinstalled app at least 3 times. Very frustrated.

So Support was supposed to call me back at 8 AM, He ends up calling me around 2 PM, Asks me to make sure always allow is set on my Phone for the app to track. Then says that is all he has and will call me back tomorrow with something else to try lol.
I told him that he should know that this appears to be a issue with Iphone and App update.

Still confused on the rationale. If someone was at home, then the system wouldn't be in Arm Away in the first place (since not everyone had left). And if they had manually switched the system to Arm Home or Standby, the single automation would still have triggered when the last person at home left.
The effect of separate automations is to switch to Arm Away whenever anyone leaves. Which is ok I guess if everyone tends to leave together.

So the app has updated to 6.29.0 but when i left home this morning the automations geofencing still did not work. I clicked "test automation" and it worked.
Has anyone updated to 6.29.0 and still not working for you?

@ShayneS this major / priority 1 issue is already existing for multiple days. It severely impacts many users. Apparently it is hard to fix. Did you consider to rollback the last update so that all least we have working geofencing solution again.

Updated the app to 6.29.0 on all devices and still the same. Geofencing not working! 😞

Upgraded from 6.28.0 to 6.29.0 this morning. Geofencing is still broken. The last working release was 6.27.0.
I hope we will finally see a fix in 6.30.0.

I have to wonder what is going on at Arlo, that they make a new app revision every few days. It is hard to believe that they are testing these or waiting to see the outcome of the release.
It also makes troubleshooting extremely difficult as it’s very unlikely that the app version used at the time a ticket is opened will be the same version in use when the support agent replies. Frankly I have had tickets where every single reply related to a new app version.
Edit - To put a number on this, this is the 25th new version released in 6 months, a pace of one release per week.

Same. Upgraded with no change. Geofencing still does not work!
Regardless if you arm or disarm the location, Geofencing should trigger a response when you enter or exit the zone.
