I use replaceable branded batteries, eg Duracell or Engerizer. They last somewhere between 3 & 4 months, so quite happy on that front.

Over the last month I found though that I get very little notice of a pending replacement, ie one day 2-3 bars then the next 5% with replacement needed within a few hours!!!

At first I thought I have probably not spotted the level dropping, so I began to record the actual % every few days. I can now see what seems to happen. Looking at the graph below the "Back Garden 2" battery increased in % level around 5th July, yesterday it was at 85% and today it had dropped to 5% :-o, with imminent "death". During this 24hrs, the camera had only been activated once for 10 seconds!

Has anyone else noticed this problem of little notice of imminent battery death? Its now happened to me on 4 cameras over the last few weeks when they were due to be replaced.

Again, they had been in the camera for 3-4 months so no issue there and if I remove the batteries and refit them, it still reports 5%.
