arlo app version 5.7.,8. is giving me the message (ios). happens on ipad and iphone
“failed to load devices” yet all devices are present and accessible. they all stream. yet i get the message.
it does disappear for a little while then it comes back. Note all devices are through a vmb5000r6. Yet the message refers to wifi
its a nuisance but aggravating. how can i resolve this?
thanks

Just a question to everyone on this post. For my curiosity. I have a VMB5000r6 hub.
What is everyone else using? is there a doorbell issue or hub..

My doorbell won’t show up under devices. I get alerts but can’t watch live view. It says “failed to load devices”. I have tried everything.

I got the same exact issue. After I do a reset it doesn’t let me go past the naming of the doorbell. It does show up in the apple homekit app though.

Just wanted to note that I'm having the same issue others have described.
* ios App (6.0.2) says "Failed to Load Devices"
* My Arlo Video Doorbell 2k (2nd Generation) does not show in the list of devices
* 10 other Arlo cameras do show
* The doorbell in my.arlo shows but with no video feed (similar to the hub)
* All devices are connected via the hub
* The doorbell captures video and this appears in the Feed
* When doorbell is rung the call comes through to the app
* Notifications work (e.g. Alexa device alerting to someone approaching the door)
I've not contacted support as I'm afraid they'll just ask me to factory reset things & judging by this thread that is not gong to solve anything.

I am having the same issue with the Video Doorbell 2k since last few days. Arlo app gives the error of "failed to load devices" and the doorbell no longer appears while other cameras still show. However the doorbell works fine in Homekit. Base station is VMB4540r4. The base station's firmware just updated now to 1.27.0.0_1931_03495c2 but the issue remains. Picture attached showing the message

I have also checked the Video Doorbell in Smartthings as well as Alexa and it works in both of them as well just like it is working in Homekit. What I can't understand at all is how does it work / is accessible everywhere but the Arlo App. Quite inexplicable.

Hello
I will try to explain my issue, it all started after an update.
My doorbell went offline, i restarted the smarthub 4540 and it came back online but it had only one icon the note witch i found wierd. I then tried to access the settings of my doorbell but it only shows a blank screen. So i resetted the doorbell and connected it again still the same issue. I cant access any settings on the doorbell it only comes up as a blank screen. I tried again but connected it directly to wifi and then it works.
So back to my question why is the settings not accessible for the doorbell when directly connected to the hub.
This for me sounds like the devs made a hiccup on the latest update.
My problem still persists today. Please fix it.
Ps. Before anyone asks, yes i have tried resetting the doorbell, smarthub etc. Even tried to create a new account still the same issue.
Thanks in advace.

I notice a new iOS update released today, version 6.0.3. Hoping it addresses this issue, I won’t know until tomorrow as it’s too dark out to be messing with my doorbells right now.

I have the same issue with the VMB5000 and the AVD4001 Arlo Video Doorbell (2nd Gen).
The doorbell records and notifies correctly, uploads recordings that I can review, and shows as online. However, when I try to access the device configuration in the browser dashboard, I get a blank white screen.
On the mobile iphone app, I receive a notification saying: "Failed to load devices." for the 'missing' doorbell.
Same as another tread "Failed to load devices. arlo app"
This issue only started about two days ago for me.

Connected the Doorbell to app/Home-nettwork. Everything works. DeviceSettings, and live viewing works.
Connected the Doorbell to my Base since i use local storage.
I can enter Devicesettings on Doorbell, but there is nothing there, no options at all. Loses all options when viewing live on Doorbell, like activate mic and adjust volume.
Everything is uptodate on firmware.
Yes have re installed everything 3-4 times now. Dosent matter if i use wired or battery. Same result every time.
Have 2 other cam`s connected to base. They work just fin.

Weirdly, I had something like that happen a while ago with a Q camera (not the same but somewhat similar). A couple of days later, all was fine. ????
Have you rebooted the hub? WHat firmware is on it? According to https://community.arlo.com/t5/Firmware-Release-Notes/Arlo-Firmware-Release-Table/m-p/1920885#M791 it should be 1.26.0.0_1812_12a0681. My own 4540 is on that firmware.

Same issue here. App has message "Failed to load devices"
Only the Video Doorbell Gen 2 is not visible in the iOS Arlo App. 10 other devices are normal.
Doorbell Gen 2 still does record events to the Feed.
It is also visible in HomeKit.
Thanks

I installed the doorbell 1 month ago. Seemed to work ok. Today, I noticed that I could no longer get into the settings. Also, the people I shared with no longer see it in their devices list. Another symptom is that I cannot open it on my PC.
The video works on my android phone, but when I open the device setting, I get a blank screen.
I have tried removing and reinstalling it and rebooting the hub (both through the app and by removing the power).
Any ideas
