Hi, I've recently bought the wireless arlo camera and need help with my setup of the motion detection.
It's positioned to capture my drive as per the below image but
Most of the time the person is down my drive and out of shot before it starts recording. I've even reversed my car completely down, got out and pay the camera before its even started recording...very frustrating!

Is there a way to improve/speed up the existing recording procedure so I actually capture who's on my property?

Thanks!

The Arlos detect motion via the PIR ( which picks up ir or refection of same ).

IMO, the sensor is maxed out at 20ft for people, so I feel that your trying to cover to much area with the camera, making it less effective.

In you picture, I woild aim it down and cover the gate more... If you looking to get someone in the driveway , you may have to move it toward the front of house aimed at driveway ( without roadway )

Also adjustment on the sense level should be done a percent or two a day to really see how it's functioning

Having just tested it I get about a 3 - 5 second delay between entering the field of view and the recording starting.
If I were to tighten the view to see less would that not mean it never capturing any actual activity as I'd be passed the view before it kicked in? My sense is at 100% just now

is that your property where the 2 trash cans sit? if so I would try mouting it on somewhere on the brick wall pointing toward the driveway giving more of a left to right field of view for motion detection.  This system does a very poor job detecting objects if they walk directly towards the camera coupled with the Dynamics of it being installed outside.

I see, so left to right entry is better than top to bottom for triggering the moron sensor?
Is my house on the left and the camera is mounted to my right wall looking down my driveway
