Cr123a battery safety

Does anyone have safety concerns regarding cr123a batteries. Mine is outside under a metal roof overhang..

The OEM batteries are very safe if that's what your asking....( cr123 )

 

The RCR123 rechargeable batteries can be an issue IF you use poor quality cells from unknown manf's.

A good li-ion 123 cell ( or 16340 ) will have a safety PCB built in to prevent over-discharge, over-charge.... without this there can be a possible fire issue.

 

Netgear only recommends the Tenergy li-ion cells built to their specs with thess safety features built in

No concerns but if you have Arlo Pro cameras, you don't use CR123A batteries

I have a Pro and a NON PRO.  So I still have the question.
